Schools and Colleges
To those of us who make the college our home, it is a place of discovery and learning, for the faculty as well as the undergraduate and graduate students whom it is our privilege to teach.
Dean Daniel Linzer
Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences is unique in offering students access to extraordinary resources and faculty from a wide range of diverse disciplines: Anthropology, African American Studies, Art History, Astronomy — and that's just the first letter of the alphabet. Throughout the world, Northwestern is regarded for its excellent programs in the liberal arts — whether they are language-based, science-based, or culture-based — and our WCAS alumni laud the preparation they receive, which allows them to go on to successful careers in business, law, education, journalism, and numerous other vocations.

Nowhere is Northwestern's commitment to interdisciplinary scholarship more evident than at WCAS, where new programs are offered in Legal Studies (via a partnership between Weinberg and the School of Law) and Art and Technology (Weinberg, Music, Communication, and the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science). There are options for everyone, and opportunities for every alum or donor who wants to make an impact on every kind of student.
